Lamentations CD now available in Canada
On November 17, 2009 Lamentatio Jeremiae Prophetae: Concert for bass clarinet and Choir became available for purchase in Canada. Released on the ECM NEW SERIES label, and produced by Manfred Eicher, the disc will be available worldwide in January 2010.

Lamentatio Jeremiae Prophetae
November 14th, 2009 – Toronto
The Elmer Iseler Singers and conductor Lydia Adam, with Jeff Reilly (bass clarinet) and Rebecca Whelan (soprano) will give a performance of Peter-Anthony Togni’s Lamentatio Jeremiae Prophetae: Concerto for bass clarinet and choir (2007) in celebration of the launch of the recording on ECM. Peter-Anthony has the distinction of being the first Canadian classical composer to be recorded by ECM.
3:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Toronto.
The new CD will be available at the November 14 concert, and will become available at Canadian retailers in January 2010.

Introducing the Peter Togni Trio

Peter is joined by Jamie Gatti on bass and Tom Roach on drums to perform original compositions through jazz classics to Mozart and company all jazzed up! On October 24th they will play in the St. Cecilia Concert Society’s “Breakfast with the Blues” series on beautiful Mahone Bay.

Russia
Peter will be taking part in the III International Festival-Competition “Soli Deo Gloria” 2009″ in Moscow in July as a jury member for both the organist and compostion competitions. From July 1st to 5th he will be taking part in festival activites at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Medieval Modes to Thelonius Monk
