December 2011 was the time to be in Riga, Latvia!!
As part of a long-range commissioning project called Missa a cappella, Peter was
commissioned to create a new mass - Missa Liberationis. In December of 2011, Peter
travelled to Riga for the world première of the
work with the renowned Latvian youth choir BALSIS under the direction of
Ints Teterovskis. The project involves recording and producing a
new CD every year; the first CD was released in December 2011
and the second, including the Missa
Liberationis is expected to be out by the end of 2012.
Music scores for the Missa a
cappella project are published and distributed by Musica Baltica in
Latvia.
For more information on BALSIS also visit the website of their manager for international engagements, The Adlers Agency.
