Sanctuary Trio, featuring Peter Togni, organ; Jeff Reilly, bass clarinet; Christoph Both, cello; and special guest Dinuk Wijeratne, piano
St. Matthew’s United Church, Halifax, NS
Presented as part of the St. Cecilia Concert Series, the chorale Herzlich tut mich verlangen forms the centrepiece of this special concert. Sri Lankan-born Dinuk Wijeratne is a conducter, composer and pianist. He is music director of the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra and is St. Cecilia’s musician-in-residence for the 2010-11 season.
Much of Sanctuary’s music is based on Gregorian chant but uses improvisation, contemporary music atonality and extended techniques to create a new form of contemplative plainsong for the 21st century.
Tickekts: $20 available at Fulton’s General Store or at the door.

2011 Juno Nominations Announced
We are excited to report that Peter-Anthony has be nominated for a 2011 Juno award in the category Classical Compositon of the Year for his work Lamentations of Jeremiah. Information on this year`s nomiations can be found here and winners will be announced March 26-27 in Toronto. Congratulations Peter-Anthony!
